The Lupine Community Montessori Charter School (LCMCS) Board of Directors is seeking dedicated individuals to fill upcoming vacancies. We invite members of our school community and the broader public to share their interest in serving. Joining the Board is a unique opportunity to provide strategic leadership and directly contribute to the success of our school leaders, teachers, staff, and students.
COMMITMENT AND TERMS
Board members typically commit to two-year terms, beginning July 1 and ending June 30. From time to time, members are appointed mid-term to fill a vacancy, serving until the expiration of that specific position’s term.
SERVICE INVOLVES:
- Attendance at monthly Board meetings.
- Active participation in at least one committee or workgroup.
- Preparation for meetings by reviewing materials in advance.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of the LCMCS Board of Directors, you will be expected to:
- Support the Mission: Understand and promote the purpose of LCMCS as defined in the organization’s Bylaws.
- Active Governance: Engage deeply in Board discussions, decision-making, and long-range strategic planning.
- Committee Leadership: Serve on at least one committee or task force.
- Philanthropic Support: Assist in fundraising efforts and contribute financially to the school in an amount that is personally meaningful.
- Collaborative Spirit: Contribute to a culture of camaraderie; our Board values consensus-based decision-making whenever possible.
- Visionary Leadership: Seek opportunities to provide foresight and guidance for the organization's future.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Individuals interested in serving in a leadership capacity are encouraged to submit their application below.
TIMELINE: Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Candidates whose skillsets align with our current needs will be contacted for an interview with one or more Board members. Following the interview process, potential candidates may be appointed during a regular public meeting of the Board.
